Update KJ Den Haag #11: façade near completion and interior works in full progress
End of the façade in sight
On the Rijnstraat side, the façade is almost complete. All the fluted elements and balconies have been installed. Most of the wooden panels have been replaced with the final glazing. The façade on the station side is also nearly finished. This façade was installed almost entirely at night, which was necessary for safety reasons.
In the coming weeks, the concrete elements and balconies on the square side will be mounted. Meanwhile, the valley of the Station Tower is receiving its final aluminium finishes. The valley of the Park Tower is already a bit further along, the first planters have even been placed on the terraces.

Plenty happening inside as well
What you don’t see is that a lot is happening inside too. Most of the interior walls have been installed, and around 70% of the homes already have a front door. But that doesn’t mean we’re nearly finished.
The tiler is still at work, as is the plasterer. And the kitchens still need to be installed. But the most important phase is yet to come: commissioning the building’s technical systems. This will take up a significant part of the schedule until completion.
The square is taking shape
Under the building, the wooden ceiling will be the absolute eye-catcher upon completion. After placing the black frames, we began installing the wooden slats.
This work is currently taking place mainly beneath the Station Tower. In a few weeks, we will start under the Park Tower, above the entrance to the bicycle storage. A large work platform ensures that the bicycle storage can remain in use while we carry out our work safely.
