We are pleased to once again provide you with another update on the sustainable renovation of the Goede Doelen Loterijen (Nationale Postcode Loterij, BankGiro Loterij and VriendenLoterij) office building on the Prinses Irenestraat.
Update on the construction work
With the finish in sight, it's becoming easier to see what the sustainable building is going to look like. The building will be delivered at the beginning of October.
Outside, the leaf ceiling has been installed at the entrance. The 'leaves' will also decorate the edge of the roof around the building. In addition, the work on the square in front of the building on Beethovenstraat is in full swing.
Inside, the Atrium is finally starting to take shape. The perforated sheet metal façades and Platowood joinery of the Auditorium have been assembled. The curved staircase and steps around the glass lift have been installed and the natural stone floor is currently being laid. On the upper floors, we have started installing glass partition walls, as well as laying parquet floors and carpets. The different colours of the toilet groups are becoming increasingly visible, now that the window frames are in place and the tiling and painting of the walls have been completed. And the wall tiling in the kitchen of the restaurant in the basement has also been completed.
Layout of the grounds by the municipality of Amsterdam
The public space around the Goede Doelen Loterij's new building will be given a new, greener layout. The Municipality of Amsterdam will embark on the work in mid August. Because of this work, Prinses Irenestraat (level with the Thomaskerk) will be partially closed to traffic from 17 September to 29 September. Local residents have been informed and the municipality is organising a walk-in meeting in the Thomaskerk (Prinses Irenestraat 36) on 12 July between 5.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.
Dag van de Bouw
On Saturday, 2 June, the thirteenth edition of 'Dag van de Bouw' took place. On this day, the building site around the Goede Doelen office building welcomed around 310 visitors. In various places in the building, the special aspects of the building were explained and visitors could take a look inside the future TV studio of 'Koffietijd' and '5 uur Live'. We hope you enjoyed the day and thank you for your interest in our project.
